Dr. Kenneth R. Mallard DVM

“Doc” Mallard is the owner and operator of the Strafford Veterinary Clinic in Strafford, Missouri. He was born and raised in Southwest Missouri and still calls it home today. Being raised around farming, he developed a love for animals at an early age. He was an active member in both 4H and FFA throughout high school, which led his decision to attend college and Veterinary School. Dr. Mallard graduated in 1997 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri, in Columbia. Having graduated from vet school on a Friday, he opened the doors of Strafford Veterinary Clinic on the following Monday, where he continues to be blessed with many wonderful clients.

As a hobby for his three children, Dr.Mallard began raising English Bulldogs in 1999. He fell in love with the breed, and became focused on every aspect of the reproductive process, how to further better the breed, and the medical differences that are present with a brachycephalic (snub nosed) patient. He is known all over the state of Missouri and surrounding states as the “Bulldog Specialist”. He is an active member of the AVMA, MVMA, and The Society of Theriogenology.
